Monday evening saw the first South East Area Counties forum where representatives of the County TTAs discussed matters involving the local table tennis community.

Many topics were covered including information on the new Area web pages that will increase coverage of local table tennis activity, weekend play for players outside of the highest level of play, volunteer recruitment ideas and league engagement.

Area Lead, Alan Lane said: “It was a positive session with some great conversations relating to counties and the experiences they are having.

“It was brilliant to see each person willing to be open and honest about what has worked, and what needs improving in their respective counties and the shared experiences can only help build the sport into the future.”

Counties represented included Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex and Kent with Surrey representative, Simon Vine commenting: “It was a good and informative session, and good to have an exchange of news.”
