The Level 3 Head Coach qualification takes table tennis coaches to the next level of expertise and focuses on each candidate’s individual coaching needs.

The course is designed to support the area(s) a coach coaches within, such as Performance, Participation, Development and Club and will develop and master an array of cognitive and transferable skills alongside a complex blend of knowledge and theories.

Awarded by Table Tennis England in conjunction with the University of Gloucestershire, the Level 3 Head Coach qualification involves a mixture of in person delivery days, home study and coaching practice, typically spread over a period of around nine months.

If you’re curious about coaching, perfecting your delivery and interested in connecting academia to your hands on coaching, then the Level 3 Head Coach course is for you.

Coaching and Education Officer at Table Tennis England, Craig Bryant.

Through the course you will become part of the community of Level 3 coaches and the Community of Professional Practice in Sport within the School of Sport and Exercise at the University of Gloucestershire.

The school is based at the award-winning purpose-built Oxstalls campus which provides sports facilities, specialised laboratories and technology-rich teaching and learning spaces to enrich your journey to becoming a Level 3 qualified Head Coach.

Working alongside the university has really elevated the course to the next level. The content really pushes and challenges the coaches that attend the course and it’s great to hear, see and be involved in the discussions and debates throughout the course.
