Tianer Yu was defeated in the last 16 of the WTT Youth Contender Berlin.

Yu, seeded third, got through her group with two 3-0 victories, only going to deuce in one of those six games.

After a bye through the Round of 32, she met China’s Yao Ruixuan in the Round of 16 and was defeated 3-0 (11-7, 11-7, 11-4).
