Jakob Kurowski of the Match Point Club from Cambridgeshire was the winner of the Ormesby Senior Open 2 Star tournament held on Sunday 18 January 2026, one of a number of competitions which took advantage of the second day of the third British Club League weekend, which only had fixtures on the Saturday.

The competition was played on a round-robin basis with 4 Bands and 8 or 9 players in each Band.

The crucial match for the Band 1 winner was a victory for Kurowski against Ormesby’s Josh Harland where, after Harland won the first game at 11-9, two further very close games followed with Kurowski winning 11-9 and 12-10 before taking the fourth game comfortably.

This Band saw a number of very close matches. Harland won second place after countback with Ben Savage of Yorkshire. Kurowski’s only loss was to Savage of Yorkshire, at 11-7 in the decider, while Harland beat Savage, so he finished in runner-up position.
