Hannah Saunders reached the last 16 at the WTT Youth Contender Hong Kong, before injury curtailed her involvement.

Saunders (pictured above) got through the group stage in second place in the Under-13 Girls’ Singles and then beat Macao’s Cheong Chan Hei in the fifth game in the last 32. Her run ended in the next round at the hands of Japan’s Asahi Kawaguchi.

Having been defeated by fourth seed Kuo Yu-Hsuan of Chinese Taipei in her Under-15 Girls’ Singles group, she had to withdraw from her second match, ending her tournament.
