It’s getting to crunch time at the Copper Box Arena, with singles last-16 and quarter-final ties today – plus the Women’s Doubles and Men’s Doubles finals.

8.20pm: We have our Men’s Doubles champions! Kuo Guan-Hong & Feng Yi-Hsin of Chinese Taipei, who came through qualifying, turn up the power in a deciding game to beat top seeds Wong Chun Ting & Chan Baldwin (HKG) 3-2 (9-11, 12-10, 9-11, 11-9, 11-1).

7.50pm: Milosz Redzimski ended the run of Kristian Karlsson in the last quarter-final of the day, the Pole taking it 3-1 (11-8, 11-8, 10-12, 11-7).
7.25pm: Ninth seed Cheng I-Ching of Chinese Taipei moves into the semi-finals with a 3-0 (11-6, 11-8, 11-4) victory over Manika Batra of India.
7.05pm: Hina Hayata safely through to the semis, the sixth seed beating Zeng Jian of Singapore – who knocked out second seed Mima Ito in the first round – 3-0 (11-6, 11-8, 11-5).

6.55pm: The hoped-for classic between top seed Tomokazu Harimoto and No 6 seed Anders Lind doesn’t materialise as the Japanese superstar whips past the Danish leftie 3-0 (11-4, 11-4, 11-7).
6.30pm: Young German Kay Stumper has had a brilliant tournament, beating Dimitrij Ovtcharov as well as our own Sam Walker. He was up against compatriot Dang Qiu in the quarters tonight and fought hard to keep his place in the competition, saving two match points in the third but also missing chances to extend a match he lost 3-0 (11-9, 14-12, 17-15).

6.25pm: Miwa Harimoto is into the semi-finals, the top seed not being unduly troubled by Yang Yiyun of China, beating her 3-0 (11-2, 11-5, 11-8).
5.55pm: And the first woman into the semi-finals is third seed Honoka Hashimoto, who came all the way back to win the all-Japan clash against seventh seed Miyu Nagasaki 3-2 (3-11, 5-11, 11-5, 11-6, 11-8).
5.50pm: Our first result of the evening after a humdinger of a match – third seed Lin Yun-Ju of Chinese Taipei holds off fifth seed Sora Matsushima of Japan, who put in a sterling fightback and led the decider 7-3 before Lin finished strongly to win 3-2 (11-5, 11-9, 7-11, 4-11, 11-8).

2.15pm: Trophy presentation made, media duties carried out, that’s it for session one – we’ll be back from 5pm.


1.50pm: WE HAVE OUR FIRST CHAMPIONS! Qualifiers Shi Xunyao & Zhang Xiangyu beat fourth seeds and fellow Chinese Qin Yuxuan & Zong Geman 3-0 (11-5, 11-5, 11-9) to become the first ever WTT champions to be crowned in London.
1.40pm: Top seed Tomokazu Harimoto pulls it out in the fifth set against Japanese compatriot Kazuhiro Yoshimura, taking the match 3-2 (11-3, 8-11, 11-8, 4-11, 11-6).
1.25pm: Yukiya Uda, the seventh seed in the men’s, also falls at the last-16 stage as Poland’s Milosz Redzimski dispatches him 3-0 (11-8, 11-7, 11-7).

1.20pm: Eighth seed and top European player in the women’s draw, Bernadette Szocs of Romania, is out. She’s beaten 3-2 (9-11, 11-5, 11-8, 4-11, 11-6) by China’s Yang Yiyun.
1.05pm: We’ve just seen two all-Japanese matches in the Women’s Singles – and they both went to five. Top seed Miwa Harimoto beat Miu Hirano 7-11, 11-5, 9-11, 11-1, 11-5, while Miyu Nagasaki put in a fine comeback to defeat Miyuu Kihara 9-11, 10-12, 11-8, 11-4, 12-10 on her second match point.

12.30pm: Fourth seed Dang Qiu of Germany is safely through – he’s beaten Manav Thakkar of India 3-0 (13-11, 12-10, 11-6).

12.20pm: Anders Lind has been one of the most popular athletes with the fans here at the Copper Box Arena – so they’ll be delighted he’s staying a bit longer. The sixth seed has beaten Hiroto Shinozuka of Japan 3-0 (12-10, 11-6, 11-7).
12.15pm: Third seed Lin Yun-Yu of Chinese Taipei safely negotiates his last-16 tie against Flavien Coton of France, winning 3-0 (11-9, 11-3, 11-9).
11.50am: Our first Women’s Singles quarter-finalist is Hina Hayata of Japan, beating Xiaoxin Yang of Monaco in three (6, 9, 6). She’s followed into the last eight by India’s Manika Batra, who beats fourth seed Shi Xunyao of China in four, and Honoka Hashimoto, the third seed overcoming China’s Qin Yuxuan in three. That last match went to expedite at 10-6 in the second as the match ended 13-11, 11-6, 11-6.

11.30am: Kai Stumper of Germany breezes into the quarter-finals of the Men’s Singles with a 3-0 (3, 5, 6) win over India’s Harmeet Desai.
