The opening rankings and ratings for the 2026/27 season have been published.

If you have not yet renewed your membership, you will need to do so before the next rankings run on 9 September if you want to remain in the rankings and ratings lists on TTE Hub, which will be new and improved, offering a hugely improved player experience – see below for more about this.

Compete and Compete Plus members appear on rankings and ratings lists as a benefit of membership – head to TTE Hub to renew.

If you have renewed, why not start plotting your 2026/27 campaign? Check out upcoming competitions where you can earn more ranking points – Compete members are eligible for 1* national competitions, while Compete Plus opens up all national competitions, including 2*, 4* and Senior British Clubs League.

What are the season-opening rankings? 

Searchable Excel spreadsheets containing all rankings and ratings, plus the individual age groups for boys and girls, and for veterans, are available on our rankings homepage. It includes lapsed members and anyone inactive for less than 12 months and can be used for seeding for events in August.

For advice on how to use Opening Rankings for seedings/ bandings at forthcoming tournaments, organisers and officials should please refer to the Tournaments Explained document.

For the opening rankings and ratings documents, players have been moved into their new age categories as appropriate. 

A 10% reduction in points totals has been applied across the board, as is the case annually.

The final 2025/26 season rankings were published earlier this month and no further changes are now possible.

The rankings will next be published on Wednesday 9 September and the run will exclude lapsed members and anyone inactive for more than five months.

The new approach changes rankings from a database-style listing into a player and performance experience based on this journey:

Discover rankings → explore a category → select a player → understand their performance → inspect their results → explore opponents and competitions.

Improvements in the new rankings experience will include:

• New visual rankings homepage with responsive, modern interface
• Prominent, improved player search
• Clearer ranking movement – the new rankings interface will show both change in ranking position and change in rating/points.
• Clickable player journeys – player names link directly into an individual player view, allowing users to move naturally from: Rankings → Player → Results → Opponent
• Individual player performance overview
• Player positions across multiple ranking groups
• Richer match history
• Easier navigation between ranking categories
• Improved historic rankings navigation
