Day one (qualifying) | Day two (qualifying) | Day three (main draw)

8.45pm: A big shock towards the end of the day as second seed Darko Jorgic exits the Men’s Singles at the hands of Sweden’s Kristian Karlsson, the score 3-1 (11-8, 11-2, 2-11, 11-3).

8.30pm: Tom Jarvis & Connor Green gave everything to reach the Men’s Doubles final but just came up short in three close games against Kuo Guan-Hong & Feng Yi-Hsin of Chinese Taipei.

They led the first 9-7 but had to save two game points before ultimately losing it 13-11 on the third game point. They then led the first 5-0 but were pegged back to 5-5 on their way to losing it 11-9. They also led the third at points but were behind from 7-6 to the end as it was another 11-9 scoreline for the victors.

7.00pm: Connor Green has had an epic run at the WTT Star Contender, however Manav Thakkar has put an end to his run, with a 3-1 scoreline. Green had chances throughout the match and put up a valiant fight.

5.30pm: Paul Drinkhall & Anna Hursey’s fantastic run is over in the semi-finals with a 3-0 (11-6, 1-6, 11-8) defeat at the hands of second seeds Wong Chun Ting & Doo Hoi Kem of Hong Kong.

The GB pair were ahead at times in games two and three, but on each occasion their opponents put together a run of five points to open up daylight between the pairs.

3.25pm: We have more English semi-finalists!! Tom Jarvis & Connor Green beat Belgian pair Martin Allegro and Adrien Rassenfosse 3-1 (6-11, 11-9, 11-7, 11-9). They will play Kuo Guan-Hong & Feng Yi-Hsin of Chinese Taipei this evening.

Interesting second game in that one – Tom & Connor were 9-1 up in the second but were pegged back to 9-8. That prompted a timeout with John Murphy, who worked the oracle to get them back on track.

2.20pm: Wow again! Dimitrij Ovtcharov is out – the great German beaten by compatriot Kay Stumper, who comes from 2-0 down to win 3-2 (9-11, 4-11, 11-6, 12-10, 11-9). Not only that – he saved FOUR match points in the fourth, taking six in a row from 6-10!

2.10pm: Top seed Tomokazu Harimoto escapes an upset as he beats Luka Mladenovic of Luxembourg 3-2 (11-5, 11-7, 4-11, 8-11, 11-7).

1.10pm: Wow. Mima Ito goes out of the Women’s Singles. The No 2 seed loses to Zeng Jian of Singapore, who takes it 3-2 (6-11, 12-10, 5-11, 14-12, 11-9). Ito had three match points in the fourth and led 9-6 in the fifth.

Zeng Jian

1.05pm: Milosz Redzimski of Poland picks up an eye-catching win over 12th seed Yuta Tanaka of Japan, by a 3-2 (11-6, 8-11, 8-11, 11-8, 11-9) margin.

12.35pm: Tom Jarvis raised hopes of an upset against Japan’s Hiroto Shinozuka when he took the first game 11-9, with a run of four points from 9-7 down, getting the crowd right behind him.

But his opponent came back and ruthlessly snuffed out Tom’s hopes by taking the next three 11-5, 11-2, 11-8).

There was a flicker of hope when Tom (WR 79) led the fourth 6-4 and 7-6, but a run of four points gave the world No 31 three match points, and he took the second to move into the last 16.

11.50pm: Paul Drinkhall & Anna Hursey are into the SEMI-FINALS of the Mixed!! The GB pair defeat Sweden’s Kristian Karlsson & Christina Kallberg 11-7 in the fifth in their quarter-final.

It was a tight match though as Paul & Anna took the first game 12-10 on their second game point, only to then be pegged back as the Swedes saved two game points in winning the second 13-11 – and they then moved ahead as they took the third 11-9.

Paul & Anna were never behind in the fourth, though they were pegged back to 9-9 before they took it 11-9. The fifth saw them only behind after the first point, though it was either pair’s to win at 7-7 – but four points in a row for the British pair put them into the last four, where they will face second seeds Wong Chun Ting & Doo Hoi Kem of Hong Kong.
