British trio Tin-Tin Ho, Jack Hunter-Spivey and Martin Perry are among the candidates in an election for the ETTU Athletes’ Commission.
Four able-bodied players will be elected during the European Championships in Zadar, Croatia, in October.
The top male and top female player in the ballot of all athletes will automatically be elected. The remaining two positions will go to the next highest-voted athletes, regardless of gender. No more than one athlete per country can be elected.
The full list of candidates is: Frane Tomislav Kojic (Croatia), Martin Buch Andersen (Denmark), Tin-Tin Ho (England), Marina Donner (Finland), Ricardo Walther (Germany), Daniels Kogans (Latvia), Elizabeta Samara (Romania), Polina Mikhailova (Russia), Kirill Skachkov (Russia), Marko Jevtovic (Serbia) and Linda Bergstrom (Sweden).
In addition, one para player will be elected during the European Para Championships in Helsingborg, Sweden, in November.
The three candidates are England’s Hunter-Spivey, Scotland’s Perry and Luka Bakic of Montenegro.
The ETTU Athletes’ Commission serves as the official voice of athletes within European table tennis and plays a key role in representing player interests and ensuring their perspectives are included in decision-making processes across the sport.
England’s Paul Drinkhall currently serves on the Commission.
