Only league leaders Ormeau are guaranteed a place in the top four of the SBL Premier Division as the final round of fixtures gets underway. Three ties are set to take place across Friday, Saturday and Sunday with every game streamed live on TTE.tv. The league will split into two after this weekend’s games, with the top four going on to play for the title. BATTS are the only team unable to qualify after securing ten points from their six fixtures.

The action gets under way on Friday evening as Ormesby host North Ayrshire (NATTC). Current title holders Ormesby are level on points with the Scottish side, with a win for either team guaranteeing them a top-four spot.

David McBeath, Graeme Barella and Thomas Rayner will hope to bounce back from defeat last time out. They will face NATTC’s Martin Johnson, Colin Dalgleish and Chris Main.

Urban and Fusion sit at the bottom of the table with two wins from their five ties so far. The winner of their clash will move to 12 points, and, should other results go their way, have the chance to move into fourth place.

Ormeau are the only team to have guaranteed a spot in the top four thanks to their victory against last year’s champions Ormesby two weeks ago. Damien Provost (pictured above) will once again lead the team as they field the same trio that ran out 6-1 winners. Xavier Dixon and Oriol Monzo make up the other two places.

Ahead of this Sunday’s match Gervis Knox, Ormeau Team Manager said: “We were delighted with our result against Ormesby and hope to keep our team form going into our last match against Brighton. Our new signing Damien Provost did not disappoint as he won both singles and teamed up with Xavier to take the doubles.”

Brighton will give themselves an excellent chance to move into a playoff position if they are able to overcome the visiting side. They were just beaten in a tense affair against Fusion in their previous match.

All games will be streamed live on Table Tennis England’s online platform TTE.tv.
