Are you ready to start testing yourself at national competitions but are not sure where to start? Our new video guide to entering our tournaments can help!

The video covers all the basic elements of competitions and is aimed at players – and parents of players – taking their first steps from recreational play or club-based activity into competitions.

It tells you all you need to know about entering your first event and what to expect when you get to the venue.

Subjects covered include registration at events, facilities, umpiring, rankings, coaching and equipment.

Table Tennis England’s head of Competitions and Events, Neil Rogers, said: “I’m delighted that we can make this new resource available to support players entering their first tournament or league event.

“An introductory guide was suggested in feedback to the competition review and with the help of umpires and event organisers, we have produced a video that we hope explains what to expect for all table tennis players taking their step into competition.

“If you are planning to enter your first competition, then good luck and enjoy the experience!”
