Following the successful appointment of four Area Chairs, recruitment is now open for three more to complete the team, which will play a key role in delivering the priorities of Table Tennis United.

We are seeking Chairs for the East, North West and London Areas, to work with the Area Manager to develop and support the delivery of the Local Delivery Plan for the area.

We are looking for people from those Areas, so we can harness local insight and understanding.

The successful candidates will join Graeme Barella (North East), Martin Clayton (West), Russell Bates (South East) and Chris Price (South West) in the team of Area Chairs.

Partnership and relationship building is a crucial and necessary skill and we are looking for forward-thinking and dynamic individuals who can unite people and get people and organisations to buy into the benefits and opportunities table tennis brings.

Crucially, they will need to be able to support the Area Manager effectively and the role will work with the Area Manager to also build the Local Organising Group, comprising people who have a great skillset and a vested interest in developing table tennis locally.

Andrew Wilesmith, Head of Table Tennis Development said: “The first round of Area Chair appointments went really well. We have managed to bring in four excellent individuals who know and love the sport and will make a really good impact in their local Areas.

“I’m excited for this next round of recruitment and to find another three people who can really help bring Table Tennis United alive in the East, North West and London. It’s a really exciting opportunity for someone who can see the benefits of what we are trying to do through the Area Network and wants to make a real, tangible difference locally.

“I urge those that are interested or want to know more to get in touch and I look forward to their applications.”
