Louis Price (pictured above) and Joseph Hunter both reached the knockout stage and beat higher-ranked players at the WTT Youth Contender Spa in Belgium.

Hunter, world-ranked No 151 on the under-19 list, beat the No 40 player Tom Closset of Belgium to make it out of the group stage, while Price joined him in the last 64 thanks to a victory over Australia’s Hwan Bae.

Price, ranked at No 161, then defeated Ivan Hencl of Croatia (WR 122) to reach the last 32, where he was narrowly defeated by Alexis Kouraichi of France, the world No 28 under-19. Hunter had been beaten in the last 64 by Arnau Pons of Spain (WR 80).

In the under-17s, Hunter went out in the group stage.
