Rocca Creative has become the official sponsor of the landmark Centenary English Leagues Cup Competitions.

The ELCC sees leagues compete against each other for four titles – the Willmott Cup for Senior men, the JM Rose Bowl for Senior women, the Carter Cup for Junior boys and the Bromfield Trophy for Junior girls.

Rocca’s Chief Executive Marc Rocca said: “Rocca is delighted to sponsor the Table Tennis England Centenary English League Cups Competition. We are super proud of the fact that we provide league and competition software for Table Tennis England, and the sport of table tennis more broadly, in the shape of TT Leagues. The Centenary English League Cups Competitions provides us with the opportunity to share in the celebration of a hundred years of the sport and to usher in many more.”

The ELCC was renamed for this season to reflect the centenary of the sport’s governing body, and free entry was given to all leagues.

Zonal rounds will be contested in May and the finals will be held on the weekend of July 9-10 at Draycott & Long Eaton TTC.

The ELCC is the oldest domestic table tennis competition run by Table Tennis England, with the Willmott Cup first contested in 1935 and the Bromfield Trophy in 1939.

The sponsorship agreement extends further the productive relationship between the Sheffield-based company and Table Tennis England, who have collaborated to create the TT Leagues and, more recently, TT Clubs platforms.

TT Leagues has been hugely successful, including being one of six software solutions shortlisted for the Best Operations, Commerce and Event Management Technology category at the 2021 Sports Technology Awards.

Rocca was also one of the sponsors of the 2021 Pride of Table Tennis Awards.

Table Tennis England Centenary Project Manager Steve Joel said: “We’re thrilled to further strengthen our relationship with Rocca and thank them for supporting this unique and historic tournament.

“It promises to be an exciting competition, doubly so in our centenary year, and I’m sure we will see some quality table tennis as the leagues compete to win those four historic trophies.”
