England women have been handed a tough draw in the team competition at the Commonwealth Games.

Last night’s draw saw England, the bronze medallists in 2018, placed in Group 1 with top seeds Singapore, as well as Nigeria and St Vincent & The Grenadines.

They will start at 9.30am on Friday against Singapore, then meet St Vincent at 4pm. The final match, likely to be pivotal, is against Nigeria at 9.30am on Saturday.

England men, the top seeds and aiming to improve on their 2018 bronze, are also in Group 1 and will face Fiji, Guyana and Bangladesh.

They start against Guyana at midday on Friday, then face Fiji at 6.30pm the same day, finishing against Bangladesh at midday on Saturday.

The Games are being covered by the BBC. The Corporation will have coverage of all sports across network television, 11 iPlayer streams and the Red Button.

Table tennis coverage will be dictated by BBC editorial decisions each day, with key matches involving Home Nations likely to be covered.
