The fifth round of the Senior British Clubs League Premier Division is set to take place this Saturday (14th December) with Ormesby hoping to extend their unbeaten run at the top of the table. Brighton and BATTS, both in the hunting pack, face each other whilst in Scotland North Ayrshire stand in the way of Drumchapel Glasgow’s first win of the season.

Fusion are the next team to try and stop a Cleveland-based outfit who have so far swept aside all competitors. Ormesby come into the tie following a crucial victory against Brighton that saw them leapfrog the current champions and take top spot in the league.

Fusion will also be full of confidence having picked up their first win of the campaign in a double header last time out. They will face a travelling trio of Humberto Manhani Junior (pictured), Ben Piggott and Graeme Barella who will be captained by Denis Neale.

In what could be the tie of the round Brighton will look to get their attempt to retain their crown back on track. They travel to BATTS who have only lost one of their four matches so far this year. Chris Doran has featured in every round this campaign, one of only a handful of players to have done so across the league. He’s been ably backed up by Josh Bennett, Ralph Pattison and Alexis Douin.

Brighton’s Shoma Nishihara, a new signing this year, as well as David Andersson, Ihor Zavadskyi, Will Bayley and Callum Evans are all part of a strong pool of players who could be called upon.

Drumchapel Glasgow will be hoping to breathe some life into their campaign as they welcome North Ayrshire for an all-Scottish tie. The home side have shown glimpses of the talent their squad possesses, but have so far been off the pace and sit at the bottom of the table. NATTC meanwhile have built their way into the season. They will have felt no shame in failing to register a set in their first two matches against Brighton and Ormesby, taking down a competitive Fusion side at the start of the month to give them something to build on. Viktor Gorman and rising Scottish youngster Gavin Yuan have caught the eye for North Ayrshire and are sure to cause problems should they play.
