The regions of England will do battle at the weekend as the Inter-Regional Finals make a welcome return for the first time since before the pandemic.

Around 100 players will compete in team and individual events in Under-15, Under-13 and Under-11 categories for both boys and girls, having come through qualifying competitions in their respective regions.

They will represent North West, North East, Yorkshire, East Midlands, East, London, Southern, South East and South West.

The competition is being held at WV Active Wolverhampton in the West Midlands, the same region which is hosting the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. As part of our legacy project around the Games, we will be live-streaming selected matches from the weekend on our Facebook page.

As well as the individual and team competitions, also at stake is the Tonge Trophy, awarded to the region with the most points overall. The champions last time the event was held in 2019 were the East region – team representatives are pictured above with then Table Tennis England Board Member Doug Livingstone.
