The trophies were shared among several schools as Halton TTC in Widnes hosted the Cheshire Schools Team Championships.

The competition saw a good entry, including teams from The King’s School Macclesfield, Alsager School and Heath School in Runcorn, all competing after an absence of several years.

King’s managed to come out on top in one of the categories as they took the Under-13 Boys’ event, ahead of Weaverham High.

The other boys’ winners were St Bede’s Widnes (U11, with St Michael’s Widnes runners-up); Brine Leas School, who were first and second in the U16s; and Sandbach School, who won the U19s ahead of Brine Leas.

In the girls’ competitions, the U11 outcome was the same as in the boys, with St Bede’s first and St Michael’s second. Wade Deacon won both the U13 and U16 categories, with Tytherington School runners-up in the younger class.
