A fabulous day of table tennis was had at Graham Spicer Table Tennis Club in New Malden on Saturday April 23, where a tournament in aid of Ukrainian refugees raised over £3,000.

Players came from as far as Bristol. Thanks goes to all the entrants and everyone who donated. TeesSport and Bribar donated vouchers for the winners and ttheart.co.uk provided all the food on the day. Table Tennis England donated a copy of its Centenary Book, and Charles Ho (Tin-Tin’s father) pledged 2 private coaching sessions, all of which will be auctioned to raise further funds.

Vadzim Antonau won the tournament, with Ollie Maric-Murray the runner-up. In the semi-finals Vadzim beat Jarek Chrzanowski and Ollie beat Dave Tiplady. Jarek won the third-place play-off.

The Consolation event was won by Enhno Oh who played Ujwal Walke in the final which ended 14-12 in the fifth set. Dave Rowell was third.

Special thanks goes to Pawel Meryn for organising the event, to Kumiko Williams and many other helpers for running it, and to the Graham Spicer Institute for providing the venue.
