England have named a four-strong squad to tackle team and individual events at the European Under-13 Championships next month.

Dimitar Dimitrov, Amber Lemmon, Serene Rahmani-Walentynska and Lusio Wen will be on duty in Nevsehir, Turkey.

The competition features Mixed Team, Mixed Doubles and Boys’ and Girls’ Singles categories.

Despite being England’s youngest team, there is useful experience in the squad, with Dimitrov in particular having competed – and won medals – at multiple WTT Youth Contender events. He also competed in the Cadet category at the European Youth Championships in July.

Dimitrov has appeared at the last two editions of the Under-13 Euros in Romania in 2024 and Sweden last season. Lemmon was also in the squad last season, helping England to 19th place in the team event, while Dimitrov reached the last 16 of the singles. Together, they reached the last 32 of the Mixed Doubles, falling to the 10th seeds.

Lemmon and Dimitrov also competed at ITTF World Hopes Week in Sheffield last season.

Wen and Rahmani-Walentynska are less experienced internationally but have had success, including winning gold medals at the Table Tennis Hopes Open European Games in Hungary in July.

Wen was also a point away from a medal at the Euro Mini Championships in August, finishing in eighth place after reaching the quarter-finals. Lemmon was 16th in the girls’ competition at that event.

The European Under-13 Championships are in Nevsehir, Turkey, from 11-15 November.
