Father and son Laszlo and Adam Kocsis have raised an amazing £3,500 and counting with their 12-hour table tennis marathon.

The duo completed their challenge between 7am and 7pm last Saturday at Knighton Park TTC in Leicester in aid of the Rainbows Hospice for Children in Loughborough, a local charity which has had a long standing relationship with the club.

They were well supported by fellow table tennis players and non-players who came to watch, with around 40 people joining in – ranging from children under 10 to veterans over 70 – including one player who told Adam that he was 67 years older than him!

Some of Adam’s friends who hadn’t played before also came along and had a go.

Adam’s mum Hilary said: “There was also a visit from Julie from Rainbows, who came along to thank them for supporting the charity – and also had a game with Adam.

“After playing for 12 hours, Adam said ‘That was the best day ever’ and he also thinks that his game has improved after playing so many different people.”
