Kacper Piwowar had to settle for silver as he and doubles partner Natalia Wszolek reached the Under-15 Mixed Doubles final at WTT Youth Contender Sandefjord in Norway.

Having won gold in Serbia earlier this year, the pair, seeded third, took on Spain’s Ladimir Mayorov & Renata Shypsha, the second seeds, in the final.

However, they were unable to get a foothold in the match as they were defeated 3-0 (11-8, 11-8, 11-3).

Their final appearance followed three reasonably straightforward victories in the earlier rounds, including beating Natalia’s sister Weronika, playing with Jaime Perez of Spain, in the quarter-finals.

Jake Davidson also reached the quarter-finals, alongside Ela Saidi of Tunisia – they were beaten by Mayorov & Shypsha.

In the Under-19 Mixed, Connor Green & Sophie Earley reached the quarter-finals, losing in four to Hsu Hsien-Chia & Chen Min-Hsin of Chinese Taipei, seeded one place above them in fourth.

Isaac Kingham, alongside Tanya Misconi of Netherlands, also reached the quarters having edged a tight match against Ignas Sisanovas (LTU) & Lukrecija Juchnaite of Lithuania 3-2 (11-9, 5-11, 5-11, 12-10, 13-11) in the last 16. They then lost out to third seeds Wassim Essid of Tunisia & Julia Leal of Portugal.
