4* events not only allow players to test themselves against high-class opposition, but they also form part of the qualifying route into the Mark Bates Ltd Cadet, U17 and Junior Nationals later in the season, so the motivation is there for players to enter. It’s also a great opportunity for county and town representative players to play new players from across the Uk.

The competition, supported by Thornton’s Table Tennis, features boys’ and girls’ events in the following categories: Under-13 singles; Cadet singles and team; Under-17 singles; Junior singles and team. The closing date for entry is 19 August.
