It may be a record for local league table tennis across England – a team with a combined age of just 35 beating an adult team 10-0!

The result came as Bede’s Table Tennis Academy beat Bishopstone B to move into third place in Division One of the Eastbourne League.

Gabriel Church (12) and his brother Raphael Church (11), teamed up with Liam Higgins (12), for a clean sweep in their match hosted by Bede’s Table Tennis Academy at their school in East Sussex.

The Bede’s Academy team dropped only two sets all night, when Raphael fought back from 2-0 down, before partnering with his brother to win the doubles, to ensure the 10-0 whitewash.
