TT Kidz for Clubs
Build your club through TT Kidz
TT Kidz provides a structured, fun and engaging programme that helps children build confidence, develop skills and enjoy being active.
For clubs, it provides a clear pathway for introducing new players, delivering consistent, high-quality sessions and helping children progress into wider club activities. Plus, it's FREE for Table Tennis England PremierClubs!
Join a TT Kidz webinar
To introduce PremierClubs to TT Kidz, clubs can join one of two webinars in November where the programme will be outlined and you can find out more about how to deliver TT Kidz and the benefits the programme can have for your club, players and community.

By learning through games and challenges, children are more likely to stay engaged and continue playing. This supports participant retention leading to growth and long-term sustainability within local table tennis clubs.
Table Tennis England PremierClubs receive TT Kidz for free as part of their affiliation, simply log into TTE Hub as your club's administrator and check the benefits section to find out how to access the TT Kidz resources. To find out more about becoming a PremierClub, please click below.
Attract new junior participants
A recognised, beginner-friendly programme gives parents a simple and reassuring way to introduce their children to table tennis.
Create a clear route into club membership
Children can move from TT Kidz into other regular coaching sessions, social play, competitions and wider club activity which also helps with retention.
Support participant retention
The programme has challenges, awards and visible progression which gives children a reason to keep attending, increases confidence – and parents can see how they are progressing.
Help less experienced volunteers get involved
The structured activities, session plans and videos make it easier for young leaders and volunteers to support coaches and gradually build delivery experience.
Raise your club’s local profile
TT Kidz is a nationally recognised programme from Table Tennis England, helping to build credibility and trust with schools, parents and partner organisations. It provides a clear, quality-assured offer that clubs can confidently promote within their community.
Generate additional income
Participant fees can contribute towards venue hire, coaching, equipment and future junior development, although clubs need a clear and sustainable pricing model.
TT Kidz is available to Table Tennis England PremierClubs and the lead deliverer must hold a Table Tennis England Coaching Assistant qualification and Coach or Coach Plus membership.
You can find out more about PremierClubs here and coaching qualifications here.
All coaches and volunteers involved in TT Kidz must have the appropriate safeguarding training and DBS checks in place.
From 1 September 2026, volunteers who regularly work with children may require an Enhanced DBS check with Children’s Barred List information, even if they are supervised. This typically applies to anyone working with children three or more times within a 30-day period.
It is the club’s responsibility to ensure all TT Kidz staff and volunteers meet these requirements before delivering sessions. First time coaches will need to complete the face-to-face Safeguarding course from UK Coaching titled Safeguarding and Protecting Children. When they have completed that, they complete the High Speed Training Refresher course every 3 years which is an online format.
We recommend for groups including children under the age of 11, the ratio of adults to children should be a minimum of 1:8.
A minimum of three tables is recommended for TT Kidz delivery. Extra space can support off-table activities, but sessions can be adapted by taking tables down when required. More tables and a larger space will enable you to cater for higher participant numbers.
Table Tennis England affiliated clubs and event organizers are responsible for conducting localised risk assessments to ensure safe playing environments. However, if you would like to produce a specific TT Kidz risk assessment then an example is provided here.
We recommend having volunteers to support the coach during TT Kidz sessions. These volunteers, known as Activators, can play a key role in helping children stay engaged, progress their skills, and enjoy the sessions in a safe environment. Please ensure all volunteers meet the relevant DBS requirements. Activators could include parents, carers, or junior club members who have shown an interest in leadership or coaching and want to gain valuable experience.
TT Kidz can be delivered with the existing equipment you have at your club. The resource guide will tell you which equipment you need for each session, enabling you to identify any equipment you may need to source.
