Table Tennis England members are invited to join us at the English Institute of Sport Sheffield on Friday 16 October for a special Members’ Day taking place alongside the ITTF World Hopes Week.
The day will offer members a unique opportunity to see some of the world’s most promising young table tennis players in action, hear directly from the leadership of Table Tennis England and help shape the future direction of the sport in England.
Watch the stars of the future
Members attending the day will be invited to watch the ITTF World Hopes Week training session from 9.30am–noon at the English Institute of Sport Sheffield, offering a behind-the-scenes look at an international development programme bringing together talented young players and coaches.
It is a rare opportunity to see the next generation of international players training up close and gain an insight into the environments helping young talent develop.
Members’ session: 2.30pm–5pm
The afternoon will then focus on the present and future of table tennis in England.
From 2.30pm until 5pm, members will hear directly from the people leading different areas of Table Tennis England and have the opportunity to ask questions, share their experiences and contribute ideas.
The programme will include:
- Welcome from the Chair and CEO, including an update on the organisation and the wider direction of the sport.
- Table Tennis England: The year in review and what’s next, with highlights from Performance, Development & Competitions, Engagement, Governance and Finance.
- Inside World Hopes Week, featuring a Q&A with players and coaches involved in the programme.
- The future of English table tennis, including an update on our strategic review and some of the major opportunities and challenges facing the sport.
- Member Voice, an interactive session giving members the opportunity to tell us what matters most to them and where they believe Table Tennis England should focus its efforts in the years ahead.
Help shape what comes next
A key part of the afternoon will be hearing directly from members. We want to understand what is working well, where members believe improvements are needed and which opportunities could make the biggest difference to players, clubs, leagues, coaches, volunteers and the wider table tennis community.
Feedback gathered during the session will help inform our ongoing strategic thinking and future priorities.
Whether you compete regularly, play socially, volunteer at a club or league, coach, officiate or simply care passionately about the future of table tennis, we want to hear your perspective.
