The first trophy has been lifted at OVO Arena Wembley as the winners of the Corporate Cup Final were crowned.
The likes of China, Japan, France and Sweden will have to wait until Sunday for their chance, but Super have already experienced that winning feeling after defeating Event Merch in the final.
The match was played on Sunday in the practice area where some of the world’s best have been warming up before entering the arena.
Super received their trophy from England star Liam Pitchford and Table Tennis England CEO Sally Lockyer.
This was the inaugural Ping Pong Society Corporate Cup and, across the tournament, teams from the likes of Google, Two Circles, Brent Council, Happl, Ciima, Mobius and Event Merch competed alongside two teams from Super.
The competition began with a group stage at Bounce Farringdon with more than 50 players competing. In the final at Wembley, Team Super edged out Event Merch in a deciding game.
Sunil Jindal, Founder of the Ping Pong Society, said: “100 years on from the first ever World Championships, we’re back playing in the country where it all started. Our finalists played their Corporate Cup final at Wembley, alongside the world’s best, with Liam Pitchford and the CEO of Table Tennis England presenting the trophy. It’s a moment we’ll be looking back on for a long time.
“As our players walked in, they visibly felt the weight of the occasion, playing alongside the world’s best players. The final itself was as close as they come.

“Sunday was the most ambitious event we’ve attempted, and it worked because of the amazing help we’ve received. This is the launchpad – there’s a lot more coming soon.”
Sally Lockyer said: “It’s a fantastic initiative – how amazing it is for the finalists to come and play the final here, next door on the tables to some of the world’s greatest table tennis players.
“We’re really pleased with the first Corporate Cup. We want to make sure we can extend that over many years to come.”
