BYD is the Official Car of the ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships Finals London 2026 Presented by ACN.

BYD will provide a fleet of Electric Vehicles (EVs) to the event, which will be used for essential services and to transport guests.

Visitors to the Fanzone at OVO Arena Wembley will be able to see a display car and find out more about BYD.

Transport is a key plank of the sustainability strategy around London 2026, and the majority of athletes, workforce, volunteers and spectators will travel by public transport. Hotels are within walking distance of the two venues.

Using EVs for essential journeys which cannot be undertaken by public transport is another aspect of the strategy around sustainable transport.

A BYD spokesperson said: “BYD is proud to partner with this year’s World Table Tennis Championships in London. The tournament reflects a shared commitment to a cleaner, more sustainable future.

“As official electric vehicle provider, BYD will support the event’s environmental goals by reducing carbon emissions, supplying a fleet of its BYD SEAL and BYD SEALION 7 models for use throughout the championship.”

Table Tennis England CEO Sally Lockyer said: “We’re delighted to welcome BYD on board for the landmark centenary World Championships.

“London 2026 will set the benchmark for sustainability against which all future World Championships will be measured, and transport is a key part of that. Together with BYD, we are setting an agenda which will start to shape the next 100 years.”
