Format – The format will closely follow the UEFA Champions League Group phase format:
The top 8 seeds will not participate in the morning group stage. They will be placed directly into the knockout stage (last 16) and will begin play around 2pm or earlier, with exact timings to be confirmed and published after the entry deadline.
All remaining players—everyone ranked below the top 8—will compete in a single large group (start 9am) and play 5 matches, with pairings drawn completely at random, similar to the UEFA Champions League format. Those finishing top 8 in this qualifying group will join the top 8 seeds in the last 16 knock out.
The knockout stage will be played in a “grid” format, where losing players continue competing against other players who have lost at the same stage, to determine final positions. Each player will play 4 matches in total.
