Abraham Sellado battled into the last 16 at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Skopje before exiting to a higher-ranked Polish player, while Sienna Jetha is also out.
The competition is the first time either youngster has represented Great Britain, in a tournament featuring some talented and high-ranked players from across Europe.
Sellado started with a 3-1 win over Konstantinos Fakaros of Greece but was then beaten in four by Sweden’s Mark Usov.
He clinched his place in the knockout stage with a comfortable win over Urban Janc of Slovenia and then edged out Malik Severinsen of Denmark in the last 32, having seen his opponent come back from 2-0 and 3-2 down to force a decider.
Sellado, ranked at No 198 on the Junior list, faced world No 87 Patryk Zyworonek of Poland in the last 16 and his opponent was in no mood to let him gain a foothold in the match, running out the winner in four straight.
Jetha, ranked outside the top 600 Under-19s in the world, was drawn in the same group as world No 46 Junior Katarzyna Rajkowska of Poland, to whom she lost 3-0 after a close first game.
Her progress from the three-player group hinged on beating Amanda Asp of Sweden and, although Jetha led 2-0, Asp came back to win in five.
Sellado & Jetha teamed up for the Mixed Doubles, going out to Alvaro Orna & Silvia Dominguez of Spain in the first round.
