Sam Walker went out in the third qualifying round of the WTT Contender Novo Mesto in Slovenia today.

The England No 3 was defeated in three straight by Filip Zeljko of Croatia (WR 236).

Yesterday, Walker started with a routine 3-0 win over Eric Glod of Luxembourg (WR 211) and then saw off Jeet Chandra (WR 382) in the second qualifying round.

His Indian opponent started quickly, taking the first 11-4, but Walker came back to win the next three close games.

Walker is involved in the doubles and he and Aleksandr Khanin are seeded into the last 16 and will face Dillon Chambers & Xavier Dixon of Australia tomorrow.
