Tees Sport and Bribar are the Official Equipment Supplier for various Table Tennis England national events after a competitive tender process.

Tees Sport will provide tables and all associated equipment for all the events under the Mark Bates Ltd Nationals banner – the Senior Nationals Qualifying Tournament and main Senior Nationals tournament, the Cadet & Junior Nationals and the U11 & U13 Nationals.

The company will supply the Butterfly R40 ball for the first two of those events and also the same ball and the equipment for the Preston, Wolverhampton and Gloucester Grands Prix.

The Butterfly R40 was selected for last year’s National Championships but was not able to be used because the Championships did not take place.

Hajo Nolten of Butterfly Europe said: “The Tamasu Butterfly Europa GmbH is happy to announce that our Butterfly R40+ ball has been selected as the official competition ball at the 2022 English National Championships. “Following the ITTF announcement earlier this year, our R40+ balls will also be the official competition balls for the 2021 ITTF World Table Tennis Championships in Houston, Texas. We are looking forward to supplying our newest and best competition balls to such highly esteemed table tennis events.”

Alan Ransome, from Butterfly UK and Tees Sport, said: “We are pleased to join Butterfly Europe in supporting the National Championships and continuing to provide all the tables and other equipment as well as the Butterfly R40 3 Star Balls.

“We have been supplier to Table Tennis England for many years and are pleased to continue our service and support with the equipment that we know the players like and trust.”

The Butterfly R40 balls are available from Tees Sport and other major table tennis retailers in the UK.

Bribar will supply the equipment, including tables, nets and umpires’ desks, for the Crawley Grand Prix this coming weekend (September 18-19) and for the London GP later this season, as well as for the Veterans’ British League, Women’s British League and Junior British League.

The company will supply Tibhar balls for the two Grand Prix events and Joola Flash balls for the British League weekends.

Bribar Managing Director Barry Chapmans said: “Everyone at Bribar is delighted that we can continue our long-standing relationship with Table Tennis England and the British League events.

“After such a long break, we look forward to renewing old acquaintances with the organisers, volunteers and players.” Rade Markovic, MD of JOOLA Europe, said: “We are very pleased to continue our partnership with Bribar and Table Tennis England by supplying the equipment for these prestigious events.”
