The entry deadline at the Cleveland Junior 4* has been extended and, by popular request, the organising committee has added two Under-11 events.

The tournament will take place at Thornaby Pavilion on Saturday and Sunday 29 and 30 October and is one of the longest standing junior tournaments in the UK, having run consistently for more than 50 years.

The event includes two a-side team events for clubs at Junior and Cadet level on the Saturday, which always proves very popular.

In addition to the Junior, Under-17, Cadet and Under-13 singles for boys and girls, the committee has added an Under-11 singles event for both genders. The Committee has received a request for this and, in any case, is very keen to promote the opportunity of competitions at this age level for emerging players.

The event is also part of the qualifying pathway for this season’s Mark Bates Ltd Cadet, U17 & Junior National Championships.

An updated entry form is available on the Table Tennis England website and entries should be forwarded to the tournament secretary, Brenda Stephenson. The closing date is now Monday 10 October.
