The Isle of Wight Table Tennis team played this week in Guernsey at the International Island Games, a unique tournament in which teams from many of the islands around the globe compete.

The English team were delighted with their performance, especially this particular year, in which they celebrate their centenary.

They got off to a great start by beating Gibraltar 6-1 and the Isle of Man 7-0. However, they also lost 7-0 against a very strong Guernsey team.

After losing in the semi final to Jersey, the eventual winners, they were delighted to bring home a Bronze medal.
