Tin-Tin Ho & Charlotte Carey’s run to the semi-finals of the Women’s Doubles at the WTT Feeder Amman was ended today by a Chinese pair.

Their opponents, Qin Yuxuan & Han Feier, are lower-ranked on paper, but were yet to drop a game and had beaten the second seeds in the first round.

Ho & Carey had themselves beaten the third seeds at the same stage, but could not get close enough to their opponents, who reached the final with another 3-0 victory.

Yesterday, the British pair edged to a 12-10, 12-10, 11-8 victory over Leila Mostafavi & Audrey Zarif of France in the quarter-finals, saving five game points across the course of the match, leaving them as the only European pair remaining in the competition.

In the singles, Ho was beaten on Thursday in the round of 32 by the fourth seed and world No 60 Lee Ho Ching of Hong Kong in four games.
