Dimitar Dimitrov has won the Under-11 Boys’ Singles at the WTT Youth Contender Antalya, lifting his first WTT title.

The 10-year-old member of the Futures Squad had previously been a finalist at WTT events in Ecuador and Austria, but seized the initiative against Eymen Basar of the host nation – who he had also beaten in the group stage – to become the champion in four games.

Dimitrov was also competing in the under-13s, where he won three of his four matches to make it through to the knockouts. He was defeated in the quarter-finals by Japan’s Sora Okada, who went on to win the competition.
