Table Tennis England is looking for a suitable volunteer to join our experienced Standing Orders Committee, this role is crucial to the Governance of Table Tennis England’s general meetings, through the issuing of Standing Orders, which are not the responsibility of the Board.
Role Description
Status: Voluntary
Remuneration: Expenses (in accordance with relevant policy)
Time Commitment: Variable but a number of part days (including attendance prior to and at the AGM)
Term of Office: 3-year term (with rotation)
The applicant must be a current member and have the attributes as highlighted below and be able to deliver to the Standing Orders Terms of Reference.
Table Tennis England are the National Governing Body for Table Tennis England and our volunteer committees work with our staff and Board to ensure the smooth running of table tennis across England.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
To protect and ensure that membership rights are respected at General Meetings and to confer with the Board, the Senior Leadership Team, and the Rules Committee on any matters relating to the Articles, Regulations, or resolutions affecting a General Meeting as well as taking into consideration any legal advice received.
KEY SKILLS:
· experience of working in a team (essential)
· knowledge and experience of working with rules/regulations (essential)
· knowledge of table tennis administration at league or county level (essential)
· Awareness of Company Law (desirable)
