A shoulder injury ended Abraham Sellado’s involvement at the WTT Youth Contender Puerto Princesa in The Philippines, after he had reached one semi-final and one quarter-final.

Sellado was playing in both the Under-13 and Under-15 Boys’ Singles and was top seed in both. He duly qualified through the group stages of each event with a 100% record.

In the younger age group, he went on to defeat opponents from Malaysia and Chinese Taipei in the early rounds to reach the semi-finals, where another opponent from Chinese Taipei ended his run.

In the Under-15s, Sellado got safely through the round of 16 but had to withdraw ahead of his quarter-final against Under-13 champion Ko Shibata of Japan.
