From safeguarding to anti-doping, customer service to technology, plus upholding the Code for Sports Governance, the work of our Operations department sits at the heart of everything we do.
Our Director of Operations, Jo Keay-Blyth, told us about the responsibilities which sit with her team and the role they play in helping us to serve our members and the wider sport.
In our last membership survey, our members asked us to say more about the work we do across the sport. We will be releasing more videos soon about some of our other responsibilities, including performance and engagement. You can also read more about what we do in our Annual Report.
Safeguarding
“We develop and maintain our safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure our clubs, leagues and counties have got all the tools they need to ensure that children and adults are kept safe within our environments.”
Whether you’re a player, parent, coach, volunteer, official or club, our safeguarding policies, guidance and support helps you to keep table tennis safe for all.
Our policies, guidance and support cover:
- DBS checks
- Social media, live streaming and photography
- Travel
- Training for welfare officers
You can also easily report a safeguarding concern via our website.
Customer service
“Customer service is a key part of the service we offer for our members. We deal with their inquiries, their complaints. We provide guidance and support to clubs and leagues. We help members access competitions, courses and services and ensure issues are resolved fairly and efficiently.”
Did you know that Customer Service enquiries we received increased by 8% to 10,993 in 2025/26? These covered topics from clubs, leagues and volunteering to coaching and competitions, as well as rankings, membership and more.

Code for Sports Governance
“The Code for Sports Governance is there to promote transparency, accountability, diversity and organisational effectiveness, along with effective decision-making and long-term sustainability. Compliance with the code is a condition of our Sport England investment.”
The Code for Sports Governance is a core management function and means we have got good management practices in place to protect the sport, from ensuring our policies are fit for purpose and control the sport within to having a representative board with a wide range of skills.
Technology
“Technology is the backbone of modern sport administration. Systems such as TT Leagues allow the clubs, leagues, players and volunteers to manage competitions efficiently while providing accurate participation and performance data.”
TT Leagues is the Table Tennis England league and fixture management platform available free to all league administrators of affiliated leagues. The platform includes a mobile friendly and secure website to host league fixtures, results, tables and more.
TT Clubs is an online club management platform designed to help clubs engage and manage their membership and market and promote their activities, as well as providing tools to help with the day-to-day administration of running a club.
New for 2026/27, we listened to feedback from our members and the wider table tennis community, who told us they wanted a faster, more intuitive platform that makes managing their table tennis life easier. TTE Hub makes it simpler to join, renew and manage your memberships, handle club administration, and stay connected to the sport you love.
Membership
“We manage the registrations and affiliations to us as a National Governing Body. We provide insurance and membership benefits. We also support the clubs, leagues, coaches, officials and volunteers within that membership.”
An active membership keeps you connected to everything the sport has to offer, gives you the opportunity to compete in local and national leagues, track your official rankings and enjoy priority access to major event tickets and partner discounts. We also have memberships for clubs, coaches and schools.
Membership income also helps fund essential governance, safeguarding and support services including those outlined above.
AGM
“The AGM is a key part of member democracy and accountability. It gives members a voice in how the organisation is governed and provides transparency regarding performance, finances and future plans.”
All Table Tennis England members are entitled to attend the AGM. Company Members can vote. During the meeting, the Financial Reports and Accounts are tabled. Any changes to Articles of the Company are also agreed.
Anti-doping
“We promote clean sports values throughout the pathway, and anti-doping protects athlete welfare, ensures fair competition and maintains the integrity and reputation of the sport. It is also requirement of publicly funded bodies.”
We are required to undertake and provide evidence of our ongoing compliance to the UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) Framework, and this was completed in April 2026. You can read about this in our Annual Report (page 35).
