On Sunday 6 September Milton Keynes Table Tennis Centre held their 2nd Annual Ladies Charity Tournament in aid of Breast Cancer Now.

Organised by TTE staff member Julie Snowdon (also secretary of the centre) who said, ‘this amazing charity has helped me and many other women, and it’s great to be able to give something back, while raising awareness and some much needed funds at the same time’.

Fourteen women entered, many of them who attend the monthly ladies only sessions at the centre, the emphasis was on fun and fair play with two group rounds culminating in a main event and consolation final.

A grand total of £235 was raised on the day which, when added to proceeds from an Afternoon Tea, made a grand total of £650. Over 100 bras were also collected for recycling by Against Breast Cancer.
