England No 1 Tin-Tin Ho is one of four athletes to have been elected to the European Table Tennis Union (ETTU) Athletes’ Commission.
Athletes at the ongoing European Championships at Zadar in Croatia voted for Tin-Tin (pictured above) alongside Linda Bergstrom of Sweden, Romania’s Elizabeta Samara and Frane Kojic of Croatia.
The para-athlete representative will be elected separately during the 2025 European Para Championships in Helsingborg.
Serving as the official voice of athletes within European table tennis, the Commission plays a key role in ensuring that players’ perspectives are represented in ETTU decision-making processes.
Tin-Tin said of her election: “I’m honoured and grateful to be part of the ETTU Athletes’ Commission and thank you to everyone who voted for me.
“It will be amazing to work alongside the other athletes and I am looking forward to learning from them about how to improve table tennis for everyone. I will do my best to be an advocate for all players.”
Table Tennis England CEO Sally Lockyer said: “I’m delighted that Tin-Tin has been elected to the Athletes’ Commission. It’s vital that athletes’ voices positively shape the direction and development of the sport and to have representation at the highest level in Europe is good for English table tennis too.”
