20:00 – And that’s it from us today at the Mark Bates Ltd Under-21 National Championships! We can’t wait to do it all over again for the Junior event tomorrow!
19:59 – Ceremonies wrapped, but in the end it was Ella Pashley & Sienna Jetha who took the title in the women’s doubles, and Joe Hunter and James Hamblett who took the crown in the men’s doubles!


19:12 – Max Radiven & Rachael Iles save two Championships points in the fifth to claim the Mixed Doubles title!

18:07 – The mixed doubles final is set, it’ll be Joe Hunter & Sophie Earley vs Max Radiven & Rachael Iles, but before that, we have the men’s and women’s doubles semi-finals which are underway.
17:30 – The mixed doubles semi-finals have begun! The men’s and women’s doubles semis will follow this round of matches.
16:54 – The men’s and women’s doubles are in full swing. The quarter finals are underway, with the mixed doubles semi-finals coming up next.
15:58 – The mixed doubles opening rounds are complete and were are left with the semi finallists who will compete at approximately 17:10!

14:30 – Isaac Kingham takes the deciding set to claim the National title! He is the Under-21 National Champion in the Men’s Singles event!

14:22 – Tianer Yu breaks the deadlock in the third to claim the all important end 16-14 to claim her second Under-21 National title!

13:04 – Ella Pashley takes the fifth set decider 19-17! She saved six match points from Anna Green to progress into the semi finals!

8:50 – Good morning from Nottingham!
The stage is set for the 2026 Mark Bates Ltd Under-21 National Championships from the David Ross Sports Village at the University of Nottingham where five titles will be decided, with the men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles all up for grabs. Play is set to commence at 9:00.
A strong field of athletes in both the men’s and women’s singles look to impress, with the 2025 winners, Larry Trumpauskas and Ella Pashley hoping to defend their respective titles. The finals of the Men’s and Women’s Singles are scheduled for 13:30, assuming no delays in play.
In the afternoon, the doubles’ events take centre stage. Isaac Kingham and Mabel Shute will look to defend their title from 2025, while Max Radiven and Rohan Dani will be hoping to claim another title as they defend their crown. Sophie Earley, one half of the women’s doubles winning duo last year – with Eva Eccles, will compete with Anna Green this time around. The mixed doubles is scheduled for a 18:30 grandstand, while the men’s and women’s finals happening immediately after at 19:10.
