After a sell-out success last year, Sussex organisers are finalising plans for the second Sussex Senior 4 * at the popular K2 venue in Crawley over the weekend of 12-13 September 2026.

With days to go until the entry deadline at 11.59pm on Friday 14 August, it’s looking like another bumper entry and organisers are upbeat for another successful event.

Apart from a strong field of senior players, the event also attracts a host of talented young players and veterans.

Local club Brighton City TTC hope to make a mark on the Under-21 event, but with top-three ranked Junior Larry Trumpauskas in the line-up it’s going to be a tough day at the office.

Trumpauskas is one of several Fusion players to be in the field, including Shaquille Webb Dixon, who will defend the Men’s Open title.

Also in the field, and making her return to the game after an absence of seven years, is former England Junior Kate Cheer, who will be hoping to get back into the competitive groove.

Kate was Cadet national champion in 2013/14 and has been playing local league over the last year as she eases her way back into the sport.

She said: “It’s great to have a four star on the doorstep. It’s an ideal way to get back into the game, and I’m looking forward to seeing some familiar faces.”
