Table Tennis England is inviting expressions of interest to join a new Cadet & Junior Girls Pathway Task & Finish Group, which will help shape the future of girls’ participation and progression in the sport.
The group will undertake a focused, insight-led review of the barriers affecting girls across the pathway – from entry into the sport through to performance – ensuring that future recommendations are grounded in data, lived experience and system insight.
As part of its commitment to putting players’ voices at the heart of development, Table Tennis England is particularly seeking:
- Female members (minimum of four within the group)
- Individuals with recent experience of the Cadet and Junior pathway, including current or recently transitioned players
- A range of perspectives from across clubs, coaching, competitions and performance environments
The group will work collaboratively over the coming months to:
- Identify key challenges and opportunities within the girls’ pathway
- Explore practical, evidence-based solutions
- Provide recommendations to relevant committees and the Board
Chris Brown, Director of Development, said: “This is an important step in making sure our pathway works better for girls at every stage. We want to bring together a group that combines expertise with genuine, recent experience – so that the recommendations we develop are both credible and grounded in what players actually need.”
