England senior squad player Alyssa Nguyen is girls’ top seed when the National Series returns for the new season at the weekend, with Oscar Nikolli heading the boys’ open seedings.

Devon’s Nguyen (pictured above) was part of the squad for the London 2026 World Championships in May and takes that experience into the three-date National Series as top seed in the Under-19 Girls bracket.

Leicestershire’s Catherine Lv and Kiishi Adekola of Scotland are the next-ranked players.

In the Under-19 Boys’ Open category, Middlesex player Nikolli is ranked ahead of Grantham Academy duo Ryan Holland and Harrison Hill.

The competition provides a regular high-quality competitive opportunity for the top cohort in each youth age-group – Under-13, Cadet (U15) and Junior (U19).

There are multiple divisions of up to eight players in each age/gender category, played in a round-robin format, with two promotion and two relegation places in each division after each round, and the winner of the final round being crowned National Series champion.

The top seeds in the Under-15 age group are Bethany Yang and Zihan Lin, while the Under-13s are headed by Sakinah Damji and Leo Shahmurov.

The Under-13s and Under-19 competitions will take place at Grantham College and all rounds of the Under-15s will be at Nottingham TTC.

The series will be played over three rounds:

  • 17 & 18 October
  • 21 & 22 November
  • 23 & 24 January, 2027

The girls’ divisions will take place on the Saturday, with the boys playing on the Sunday, and league tables will be published after each weekend.
