Celebrate 100 Years of Liverpool Table Tennis – Enter the Liverpool Centenary Senior 4 Star!
As part of the Liverpool & District Table Tennis League’s Centenary celebrations, the Liverpool League is proud to host the Liverpool Centenary Senior 4 Star at Wavertree Tennis Centre, Liverpool, on 22–23 August 2026.

With an impressive prize fund of £4,050*, this prestigious event aims to attract many of the finest players from across the UK and beyond, while offering competitors the opportunity to experience the vibrant and iconic city of Liverpool. * Subject to entry, see entry form.

Liverpool League Secretary, Tom Purcell, said:

“Liverpool has a proud tradition of staging senior table tennis competitions, and as we celebrate our 100th anniversary, we are delighted to bring a major national event back to Lancashire and the North West. We look forward to welcoming players of all standards to what promises to be a memorable weekend of top-class table tennis.”

The tournament programme has something for everyone:

Saturday 22 August – Men’s and Women’s Banded Singles Events, providing competitive opportunities for players across a wide range of standards and encouraging participation from throughout the North of England and beyond.

Sunday 23 August – the showcase Men’s and Women’s Open Singles Events, featuring some of the country’s leading players competing for the coveted titles and first prizes of £500 in each event.
Under 21 Boys’ and Girls’ Singles Events – also taking place on Sunday, these events offer an exciting opportunity for the next generation of talent to compete in a major national tournament. Young players from across the region and the wider UK are strongly encouraged to enter, gain valuable experience, challenge themselves against their peers, and be part of a memorable weekend of high-quality table tennis. Doubles Competition – in groups, adding another exciting dimension to the weekend’s play.
