14:31 – An epic finale sees Tianer Yu come from 10-6 down in the fifth to claim the Junior Girls’ National title! An incredible match lasting over 50 minutes!

14:14 – The girls’ singles final is going to a decider… Pashley opened with the opening two sets, but Tianer Yu is working her way back into the game. One end to decide the title.

14:09 – The boys are heading to the table to start the final. It’s Rohan Dani vs Larry Trumpauskas.

13:32 – We’re up and running in the Junior Girls’ Singles Final. Either Tianer Yu or Ella Pashley will take home the trophy!

12:16 – While the boys’ singles Round 1 is finishing off, the start of the girls’ singles quarter finals are underway! Keep an eye out as results start pouring in thick and fast.

11:51 – Round 1 of the knockout phase is out of the starting gates!

10:57 – The group stages are beginning to wind down, although play is very much on across the hall. Following the conclusion of the groups, we will head to the boys’ singles Round of 16, before immediately commencing all quarter finals for both the boys’ and girls’ doubles.

8:50 – Play will be beginning shortly, so here’s a brief summary of the format for the day.

The morning will primarily consist of singles’ group stages with four groups in the girls’, and eight groups in the boys’. The knockouts will commence immediately after that, with the finals due to take place simultaneously at 1:30 this afternoon.

Once the singles’ competitions are out of the way, focus will shift to the girls’ and boys’ doubles. There will be no mixed competition. The finals are scheduled for a 4:30 start time.

8:05 – Good morning for the second time this weekend as the David Ross Sports Village at the University of Nottingham hosts the Mark Bates Ltd Junior National Championships after a successful day yesterday at the U21 event.

Today’s action will see four National titles handed out, with the men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles and women’s doubles there for the taking for the athletes taking part.
