TT Kidz is nearly ready for lift-off – here’s why your PremierClub should get involved.
TT Kidz is our programme to give 7-to-11-year-olds a fun and inspiring introduction to table tennis, and will initially be delivered exclusively by PremierClubs, who will receive the programme resources for free.
Delivering the TT Kidz programme can:
- Help your club to attract new junior participants
- Create a clear route into club membership
- Support participant retention
- Help less experienced volunteers get involved
- Raise your club’s local profile
- Generate additional income
TT Kidz will also help support kids into the wider table tennis community. This can potentially help them become future young leaders, volunteers, players, coaches, and support clubs and the wider ecosystem in general.
We have held TT Kidz Festivals around the country in recent weeks, showcasing the vibrant new iteration of the programme – and club representatives have been enthused!
Dale Ajeto from the Wensum club in Norfolk said: “We’re a PremierClub and we’ve got a responsibility to deliver things like this.
“The initiative we’ve got here from Table Tennis England is absolutely brilliant. You’re not lost for ideas, there’s so much scope in the activities and a whole range of skills, and it seems to be a fun way of doing it.
“The model’s set already, all you’ve got to do is have the children, and 7-to-11-year-olds is the absolutely perfect time.”

Andy Green, Chairman of Portsmouth TTC said: “Delivering a programme by Table Tennis England is definitely the way forward. It makes it safe, it makes it fun, it gives it credibility.
“I’d definitely recommend TT Kidz for any club that wants to progress, bring youngsters into the game, get them off their phones, give them exercise, give them social things to do. It’s fun and engaging.”
Matt Corp of Beechcroft TTC in Birmingham said TT Kidz would encourage children to go on to join other programmes at the club.
He said: “We want to get more children, girls and boys, into table tennis. The more children we get into the game, hopefully they will then follow it on to a programme going forward and, you never know, we might find the next table tennis champion.”
PremierClubs can sign up to one of two webinars next month to find out more about the revamped programme, with a view to starting to deliver TT Kidz early in the new year.
The webinars will take place on Tuesday 10 November from 6-7pm and Wednesday 11 November from 12-1pm. Sign up via TTE Hub.
