The road to the age group Nationals starts for our leading young players in the coming weeks, with Cadet & Junior 4* competitions around the country!

There are six Cadet & Junior 4* events scheduled for 26/27, kicking off with Cleveland on the weekend of 26-27 September.

Five take place in the window that will contribute to qualification for the Cadet National Championships 2027 and six in respect of the Junior National Championships 2027 – and entries are open for three of them.

The details are below – click on the links to enter a tournament:

• 26-27 September: Cleveland 4* (closing date 2 September)
• 24-25 October: Cliffedale Chandlers 4* (closing date 25 September)
• 14-15 November: Blackpool 4*
• 12-13 December: Cambridge 4* (closing date 31 October)
• 16-17 January: Joola Plymouth 4*
• 20-21 February: London Academy 4*

Players will accrue points according to how far they go in the draws, and leaderboards will be updated after each 4*, with invitations for the two age-group Nationals based partly on leaderboard position and partly on rankings. All players invited must have played at a minimum of two Cadet & Junior 4* events.

The Cadets are aiming to qualify for the Mark Bates Ltd Cadet & Under-17 Nationals at the David Ross Sports Village in Nottingham on the weekend of 6-7 March 2027.

Invitations will be based on the December rankings (published early January 2027) and issued following the Joola Plymouth 4* event. Playing in the London Academy 4* will NOT form part of the eligibility criteria for the Cadet age group.

The Juniors compete alongside the Under-21s at their Nationals at Kettering Arena on the weekend of 17-18 April 2027.

Invitations will be based on the January rankings (published early February 2027) and issued following the London Academy 4* event.
