It is with much sadness that we join the nation and the wider Commonwealth in mourning the death of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.

We were proud and privileged that Her Majesty was our Patron from 1952, a position she had held since the death of her father, King George VI, who became Patron of the English Table Tennis Association in 1937.

We kept Her Majesty informed of important events in our history, including our Centenary in 2021/22, and we were thrilled when she wrote to us before the Centenary Gala Dinner to extend her best wishes to all our members.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Royal Family at this sad time.
